Gritti Venetia was created in 2010 as a tribute by founder Luca Gritti to his ancestor Alvise, a noble Venetian merchant and diplomat. The woody-spicy Saraj Gritti perfume is a composition dedicated to a princess named Alaja. It portrays a woman who harbors a unique mystery, and an encounter with her remains etched in the memory forever.

Saraj is filled with the aroma of resins and spices, primarily cinnamon and cloves. At the heart, a labdanum accord combines with the freshness of vetiver, lending the perfume a lightness.
